Bridge drainage
Discover our innovative MEAKERB BRIDGE solutions, our monolithic 2 in 1 Kerb and drainage channel solution made of polymer concrete, specifically designed for bridge drainage.
Effective, economical and sustainable bridge drainage: When it comes to new bridge construction and bridge renovation, drainage planning plays a key role in the durability, safety and environmental friendliness of the structure.
- One-piece drainage channels without moving individual components and covers
- 0.5 m length of the individual elements: Quick installation, easy realization of bridge twists and curves
- Continuous MEA EPDM sealing lips: Significant reduction of movement-crack formation

Advantages
Linear drainage
over point drainage
- Thanks to the higher hydraulic capacity compared to point drainage, the number of water outlets downwards can be reduced, enabling longer sections.
- Fewer penetrations due to drains increase the safety and durability of the construction, as the sealing and supporting structure are under less strain.
- No formwork required on the road surface side when the cap is poured or rebuilt.
- Existing drain openings can continue to be used for renovations.
- More effective drainage of porous asphalt (OPA) due to shorter water channels.
- Integrates curb and drainage into one system.
- No driving over drains, thus avoiding defective drains in the traffic area.
- No longitudinal slope necessary in the road surface or edge area.
- Wider sidewalks possible, since the cap is widened.
- Alternatively, wider lanes are possible because the drainage is integrated into the cap.
- The water is drained in the cap so that it does not remain on the road.
- Prevention of aquaplaning and ice formation on the road.
- The hollow channel makes the cap lighter, which results in a weight and construction cost savings.
